What are all the types of art?
I know there are different types of art. For example there is avant garde, or abstract. But what are all the types and how can I tell what is what?
Really there are many types of art….take it from someone who knows 
They include, but arent limited to:
Abstract-usually made of shapes and colors and rather unrecognizable features….Picasso
Architecture- refers to buildings…just walk around ur neighborhood and look at houses..they are actually architecture….:D
Cartoon……seriously, its an art
Graphic art- take a look at your comic book……..:D
Impressionism- its rather realistic and recognizable but drawn in a different style…the artist may use a linear pattern (draw line upon line), for example……check out Monet
Photography- photos…….
Pop art- colorful portrayals of popular objects and mass culture….take a look at Andy Warhol
Pottery- an art style in which one makes pottery…..dishes, jugs, cups…..check out those ancient greek pots and navajo jugs…really beautiful
Realism-realistic faces, bodies, objects….the title kinda speaks for itself….da Vinci, Michelangelo, Courbet
Sculpture- 3D art….can be basically anything…..except for a building..thats architecture……..check out Michelangelo’s works…he was also a sculptor….and check out Rodin too
Still Life- drawing of objects that are not living….could actually be made in any style
Surrealism (my favorite)- drawn realistically, but at the same time its unrealistic….you can recognize the objects but at the same time ur thinking “why are they here? theres no point!”….based on dreams and fantasy; in order to understand this you need to think over it….Dali, Man Ray, Frida Kahlo
