Does anybody know of flea/art/antique markets in Croatia?
I am travelling to Croatia in two weeks and would like to sell there. Does anybody have an idea of good selling spots?
Here in Croatia the cute little flea market thing doesnt really exist. The markets you will find are usually the kind that sell just fruit and vegies. They are-
Just behind Kralj Tomisalv Sq. in Zagreb is their main one.
Rijeka has one just to the right of the ferry terminal in front of the main theatre.
Opatija has people selling bits and pieces on the main street along the water.
Zadar has a big market in the city centre.
Split has their market also in the centre, just before you get to Diocletian’s Palace.
In Dubrovnik, people sell things down along the waters edge at the end of the Stradun.
Just be careful, coz obviously if you take someones space or encroach on their territory, you’ll have some trouble.
Also too you may need to apply for a permit from the Gradski Opčina (City Council) to trade in some areas. These are readily available over summer season in the tourist areas.
