Century Painting

How can I tell if I have a limited edition replica from a oil painting that was done from the 19th century?
I have a old replica from the 60′s or 70′s by a master artist from the 19th century. I was wandering how can I find out if it is a limited edition.
I can’t seem to find this certain print. I can find other replicas that
are made from this master artist.I was wandering are limited edition replicas of any value done by master artists from the 19th century.
Reproduction prints of 19thC. paintings are of very little value (limited edition or otherwise).
A limited edition should be numbered (eg. 22/250) which indicates the size of the edition and the copy number.

Paintings in the Hall $9.59 Where space and time are concerned, one could say that painting and music divide space/time. Paintings perpetually occupy space and music, while it’s in motion, perpetually occupies time. One is made of particles or matter, the other a wave. One must be seen the other heard. It’s impossible to hear a painting and it is, with the naked eye, impossible to see music; yet beyond these matters of matt… |

Muralnomad: The Paradox of Wall Painting, Europe 1927-1957 $53.98 In this fascinating and generously illustrated book, Romy Golan explores mural and mural-like works in Europe from the 1920s to the 1950s, beginning with Monetâs installation of the Nymphéas at the Musée de lâOrangerie in Paris, and ending dramatically with Le Corbusierâs huge tapestries in Chandigarh, India.  Many artists and critics looked to the mural as a corrective to … |
