Diy The Color Of Watch Second Hand
In general, second hand runs fastest among all the watch hands. Therefore, the overlap between second hand and hour hand, minute hand happens frequently. Besides, Altough second hand may not be th longest in watch hands, it is the thinnest. Then comes such problem: It is quite easy to tell a wrong time from watch.
In fact, it isn’t uncommon to see colored second hand like black hands, orange hands, yellow hands, red hands. No doubt, colored second hand serves as purpose in telling time from watch like time accuracy and convenience. In addition, colored second hand makes a shining point here, providing watch with more personalities.
Frankly speaking, I have collected some 30-year-ago watches. Unfortunately, because of Presbyopia, I have to observe my watch carefully to be aware of time. Then a DIY idea came to me. I Painted the front-end with red nail polish. Those interested in this DIY can give your watch a shot like me.
Here are the notes you should bear in your heart.
1. Don’t paint too much red nail plish for one time. Always do it after the last paint is dry, totally 3 times.
2. Make sure the location and length of second hand you want to paint can match the dail. In my oppinon, my DIY masterpiece is quite successful in this way ( see the picture above)
3. There is no need to remove second hand from watch, but you should make your watch intended for this DIY stop walking before having this try.
4. Red nai polish can be divided into lots of various colors,but bright red and shining red are better choices here. Actually you can use other materials such as red paint.
