Hand Plum
Can Plum ripen after its hand picked?
So I am this plum tree…. Its called governor plum or Flacourtia indica. I’m not sure if you guys ever heard of it…. I live in the Caribbean where its all tropical… Anyway… when the fruit is ripening its turns from green to red…. the fruit is half ripe and I decided to pick them… I have them in a bowl… But can this fruit ripen ?
The reason I’ve picked them a bit early, is because every time I leave them to ripe, the birds eat them and its no good….

Put them in a bowl with a few bannanas. Bannanas release acetylene (chemical that causes fruit to ripen) in higher amounts than most fruit, that’ll work a treat. I did the same thing with green tomatoes, turned them red in a few days..in hot weather
