Florence, Italy – A UNESCO Site Of Celebrated Renaissance Art Galleries And Architecture
Florence, Tuscany is a standing monument to the Renaissance. It’s hard to look anywhere and not see an example of art or history or culture. It’s also hard to miss the romance that is flowing through the air. Many people – travelers, citizens, and daydreamers alike – regard Florence as one of the most beautiful, as well as artistically significant – cities on the entire planet. Just remember that traveling to Italy requires a passport. With passports available online, you can fill out a passport application or passport renewal form right from your computer.
That’s right – you can now get passports from the internet. This new sort of passport service makes planning for a trip so easy, and it’s an unbelievably simple process. All you do is go online, fill out an application, choose a date in which to receive your passport, and submit your form. These sites can take care of any passport service: from adding some more pages to your passport to getting a child passport renewal.
As a city of the Renaissance, Florence is famous for its art in museums, in galleries, and just around town. There is actually a legitimate sickness – Stendhal syndrome – that occurs from being overwhelmed by the beautiful art of Florence. So obviously, art is part of Florence, Italy that you have to experience. One of the most famous art galleries in the entire world is the Uffizi Gallery. It features the reputed best collection of Italian art on Earth, including monstrous Botticelli paintings, The Birth of Venus being one of them. There are usually entertaining street performers right outside the Uffizi, and they are definitely worth watching. The Bargello is a sculpture gallery with pieces created by Michelangelo, Ammannati, and Donatello.
Outside the walls of famous galleries, you will be able to find art all over the place. While you might have trouble pronouncing Duomo di Firenze, or the Santa Maria del Fiore, you will certainly be able to recognize this famous domed cathedral. It’s the star of postcards, calendars, and anything concerning Italy, but it’s even more beautiful in real life. Head to the top of Giotto’s Tower, which is right nearby, to get a very rare view of the entire city. Santa Croce is the final resting place for Galileo, Dante, Donatello, and Machiavelli. The Boboli Gardens is a beautiful piece of landscaping with many statues scattered throughout the garden.
No matter what you decide to do on your vacation, remember one very important thing: get gelato, and get it often. While Italy as a whole country is famous for gelato, Florence is reputed to have the best gelato in all of Italy. Definitely stop by Vivoli, a gelato place said to have the best in all of Italy. Also stop by the Mercato Central. The Mercato sells all sorts of different Italian foods – from fresh fruits and veggies to olive oil.
Florence honestly just does not have a match. The combination of art, culture, and romance in the air is intoxicating, and the delicious food and exciting list of things to do promises to keep you busy and happy throughout your trip. Just don’t forget your passports. Bring up a passports renewals form an fill it out, whether you need an adult or child passport renewal. Then get traveling.
