Large Hand

I have recently purchased, second hand, a large drinks fridge, glass doors.?

I need to turn off or remove the fluorescent light bulbs.
I cannot see how to do this, there is no obvious light switch and the covers over the globes do not appear to be easy to remove enabling me to remove the globes.
Does anybody have any clues?

If they are in the doors, then there has to be a wire from the body to the doors, which can be cut, as an extreme final choice (cause you have to electrically seal the end.)
You may wish to find the maker on the electrical label, near the cord, and look up on the internet for help. You might also check on commercial refrigerator repair people in your area and pay for a service call if it sound like they could help.
If the bulbs are inside the fridge, they can be mounted at one end or along the side which is more common. If they are end mounted and cylinders, the most likely thing is that the covers screw into the base (like the base was a bottle cap screwed to the wall) but also use the techniques next to look for screws.
Normally side mounted fluorescent covers snap into place, but in a food fridge they are usually fastened so simply hitting them does not drop glass to break among the food. So carefully explore with your finger tips to find any screw heads that might be set screws to loosen. If none are found, then the covers have to snap on and gentle use of a flat screw driver blade is in order.
