An Exhibition Of Six Animals

There is a program held in conjunction with one museum’s animal friends exhibition and this is where six local artists will demonstrate their individual approaches to animal painting. Each artist will create an animal theme painting in the museum galleries and talk informationally with visitors about techniques they use to capture the image and the spirit of the animals in their paintings. The museum’s executive director said that animals have special meaning for people of all cultures and backgrounds. Go to this site for further information on pet portrait artists.

Buffalos provide a symbol of spirituality while doves act as signs of peace. Cherished friends are signified by dogs while red tailed hawks represent good omens. All over the world, animals continue to be the favorites because since the beginning of time from petroglyphs to cave murals to oil paintings to jewelry they have been the subjects of artistic endeavor.

The way this female artist defines himself is as an avid explorer of techniques, ideas, and styles. Thanks to in workshop presentations, consulting, publications, and a long career of teaching, she developed her methods. Not only is she listed in the west’s who’s who but is also a founding member of a local society of watercolorists.

There was one female artist who came from southern California and before moving to her hometown in 1983 she took up art and watercolor. Themes that she engages in include people and animal portraits not to mention landscapes and floral studies. It is the director who mentioned how her style results from her ability to push the watercolor medium into works of unusual size without sacrificing the brilliance of transparent watercolor and her aggressive use of pigment. Go to this site for further information on pet oil paintings.

One of the artists studied at the art center of college of design in Los Angeles not to mention another famous college. Back in Chicago, he worked as a graphic designer but he has experience in exhibiting nationally including the national watercolor exhibition in environment. For each of the artists, they will be making presentations and publications not only in Springfield, Illinois but in local and regional venues too.

A period of study at the University of California in Los Angeles followed the fourth artist’s graduation with high honors from New York’s school of art. An award for the best of show was what she received at Washington school of art’s 12th annual competition. A reviewer described her work as giving a precious glimpse of human drama, full of psychological poignancy as parts of a famous director’s film.

It was the fifth artist who earned her degree in painting from Kansas university school of fine arts. When she works, she paints in her own interpretive style of realism and this gives the viewer a feeling of the subject’s mood as well as the atmosphere. Apart from participating in the Kansas landscape which is a traveling exhibition shown at the Smithsonian institution in Washington, DC, she has also held a number of one person shows and has participated in juried exhibitions too.

She spent eight years studying Chinese brush painting with a noted Chinese painter and so the sixth artist culminated her study of art and refinement of painting skills. Adapted to the northern New Mexican environment by her was this style of painting, lifted or erased during creation. It was the director of the museum who said that they are honored to welcome these distinguished artists from the society of watercolorists to the museum and reiterated was their commitment to artists and designers working showing up.

When it comes to the current animal friends exhibition, it has been specially selected for the enjoyment of the young and old. When it comes to this workshop, visitors will surely be enjoying how artists create portraits of their own special animal friends. In 1992, the society of watercolorists was founded and it has a mission to encourage the appreciation as well as the production of professional quality watercolors on a local and national level.
