Nude Portrait

What camera is better for portrait?
I am talking about medium format DSLR for portrait studio to shot, nude, glamour and general portrait shot i do not a pro but i understand light, iso and speed.
Yes i am not a pro but i dont know if Nikon D80 or D300 is medium format i would like to know that also the dif betwen Canon eos D series especially the EOS-1Ds Mark lll is this a medium format also i know about lenses i like the 50mm 1.8 or 1.4
None of the cameras you listed is a medium format. The cameras you listed are the equivalents of 35mm cameras. Medium format uses much larger film (120) or image sensor in the case of digital. If you are looking for a medium format digital camera you can look at Hasselblad or Mamiya. Be prepared to spend as much as your car as Pooky said. A digital back for a Hasselblad will run you between $10,000 and $27,000. This does not even include the camera or lenses. A complete kit would be the H3DII-39 ($34,000.00)
You can get a good used Hasselblad film camera starting at $1,500 depending on how old it is.
