Russians: Do you find it offensive that the Bulgarians painted over the Monument to the Soviet Army as pop art?

I am Bulgarian and I can tell there are many diff. oppinions about this here in Bulgaria. Definitely it is amazing what the person did (its art) BUT of course this is NOT the right place to do it. Many ppl were amazed but also said it is not proper.
Anyway, it is now cleaned and hopefully this will not happen again.
