Where can I sell Artistic Nude photographs ?
Where can I sell artistic nude photographs, be it online or print ? How do I meet the buyers and how do I display my work ?
The country I am its not easy to sell it off the stands.
Artistic nude photographs are difficult to find wallspace for in many areas. Mostly you will need to go to larger cities to find an audience mature enough to handle it.
Online, you might set up a gallery. I use Pbase linked below. They are reasonable, about $25 US for a year, and you can lock the galleries with a password.
Watermarking your work while it is annoying is a good idea. If you do not, you will find that the thieves on the Internet will simply steal your images.
I would also suggest setting up a Paypal account. You can take payment that way.
Pricing your prints will be an interesting affair. My large (12 inch X 18 inch) matted, framed, and limited run work (25 prints only) I sell for $250 – $350. I do more than just have a simple nude, though. My stuff is heavily altered and not always nude. I mention this because the market is a fickle thing: price it too high and no one will buy it; too low and no one will buy it either.
You may also try selling your work through EBay. I have seen some works for sale there. I was not impressed.
