Red Lotus
What specifically does the red lotus mean in Buddhism?
I am thinking about getting a tattoo of a red lotus flower, b/c to my understanding it means compassion and love and all things having to do with the heart. Is this correct? Could anyone verify this, and perhaps give me a more in depth description of what a red lotus might mean? thanks 
Think about it. Tattoos are rather permanent. Try a temporary first. Most Tatoo parlors would be glad to give you one. It lasts about 1 year, unless you really scrub the area with special soap.
