Drivetime what can and can’t they do.?

Recently a friend of mine got a loan with drivetime for a dodge van,she is 62 and now on social security.At the time she was working.The van broke down 3 months after having it.The transmission is shot,oil floods the outside of the engine and the gas tank leaks from the bottom.She had a breakdown on the freeway and was nearly killed getting it off the road.She called DT and they refused to take the van back.They said they would spring for the tow and would call her back to arrange within 2 hours.5 days later they didn’t call.She didn’t make the next due payment and now they are calling day and night for the money.Can DT take her social security check out of her checking account after the repo?? She lives in Texas.What can she do and what can they do to her? This is one big nightmare.DriveTime is a RIP OFF!!

after 3 months with a Sold as is she realy up a creek with out a paddle . She can try take em to court and try get a refund . Thats a big maybe. May ahve to chalk it up to Live and learn it sucks but you always ..ALWAYS take a used car to a mechanic and if the dealer says no you know exactly whats up and dont buy it .
The loan company can take it to court and get there money any way they can .
