Learning To Oil Paint
Learning how to paint with oil is the basic manifestation for most amateur artists. This is a great way to study because it easily correctable. When you paint a part of your canvas and feel that you dislike that color, just scrape it off with no injury to the surface. Another thing you can do is just paint over it because the paint is very thick. Another cool part of oil painting is that you can merge the light and shadows of your painting. You can also start and stop your oil painting at any time, and pick it up later.
Even though countless artists aim to stick to a certain medium of painting, you can broaden your horizons and skills with oil paintings, even if you don’t stick with it. After painting with oils for some time, you come to find that there is more to oil painting than meets the eye. You have to chose the surface type, the stain of the surface and the under painting process comes full circle in the end.
Another important part of oil painting is finding a good painting box to store your materials in. You can find various diverse boxes, most metal or wood. If you get an unstained wooden box, make sure to stain it so if excess paint gets on it, you can just wipe it away.
Last but not least we have the proper education to back the painting learning process. A big problem that people have today is that they simply don’t have the time or money to go take classes or have an in home tutor. So we are obligated to inspect at home learning programs. But don’t doubt, they aren’t all rubbish programs, there are a sporadic few good ones out there. You could try this program, Learn and Master Painting by Gayle Levee.
