How does my asking if we can set the tree up early make me selfish and ruin Christmas?
I asked my parents if we could set the Christmas tree up on the 9th instead of the 13th. They said no, but apparently that’s not enough, my mom threw a fit and told me I’m incredibly selfish and that’s what everyone in the house thinks, and told me (twice) that I’ve now ruined Christmas. I’m beyond confused here. How does asking, ASKING, if we can set the tree up early make me selfish and ruin Christmas?
Getting into the Christmas spirit is not ruining the holiday. Your mom sounds like she just had a short fuse. Try not to let it get you down. Don’t worry. You did not ruin anything.
