Wooden Frame
How do I paint my finished wooden bed frame?
I have a wooden bed frame from Ikea that’s already finished (as in sanded, glossed, etc.) I want to paint it black but I don’t know what primers, paints, finishes I should use. Like oil-based, water-based, latex, I’m so confused. Also should I still sand it? I read somewhere that I should sand it so the paint stays on longer.
I’m on a very low budget so if you could recommmend the cheapest prices that would be great.

Items you will need
1. Degreaser (just go to any hardware store and ask for it)
2. Sand Paper (get an assortment pack)
3. Latex Primer (You may want to get it tinted if you are painting it a dark color)
4. Latex Paint (Desired Color)
clean all grease off surface
sand the surface, do not need to get all paint or gloss off, just need to rough up the surface a bit
wipe off with damp cloth and let water dry off
apply primer and let dry
apply paint and let dry do not use for 3 days the paint can stay tacky for 72 hours.
